Soul Snatchers is an online multiplayer collection race in a 2D platformer environment. Collect as many souls as possible in this endless gamemode.

This game was made for Hyper Hour Jam - Theme : Take Heart. Originally, I was planning to include some kind of punch or "snatch" where players would steal the hearts of other players. However, due to the limited time of the jam, I drastically reduced my scope. Also, this was going to be a round-based game where players would race to reach 10 souls (hearts) before everyone else.

Changes added for the iterate jam:
- Improved touch controls
- Improved heart spawning area (made it larger)
- Added a "punching" mechanic (but no visuals)
- Getting punched causes the player to "die"(?) and their hearts will be added back to the amount of hearts that can be spawned
- Limited the heart spawning to 10 + (2*player_count)
Changes made before the iterate update:
-Added basic mobile controls (only works on android since Godot 4 web export is not iOS friendly)
-Fixed the heart spawning locations (it was less than 1 line of code edited)
